Through research, trial and error with my customers, I've discovered the best product and methods to reduce frizz while styling all different hair types. There are some simple tricks you can use to make the process easier and last longer.
What is the Cuticle?
The cuticle is the outermost layer of the hair shaft. It looks like shingles on a roof. (see image below)
When the cuticle is raised or open your hair will look frizzy.
When the cuticle is laying flat and tight your hair looks very smooth.

Using the wrong products. Using the wrong shampoo and conditioner. Shampoo raises the PH of our hair, The cuticle becomes more raised and does not sit flat.
Hair is naturally curly or wavy. Cury hair is naturally dry.
Weather. Heat and humidity. If your hair is dry it will be prone to frizz. If the weather outside is humid, your dry hair will try to absorb the moisture in the air.
Poor Diet. Hair is made up of Lipids (oils and fats), water and protein. That's why it's important to eat a of those things to have healthy hair.
Damaged or over processed. If the cuticle of your hair has been compromised or damaged. If your hair is chemically treated or highlightedBreakage results in frizz.
Product buildup
Not using the correct styling products.
Not using proper styling tools.
Not using proper blow dry or straightening techniques to style your hair.
Not deep conditioning your hair regularly.
TOP 10 STYLING TIPS TO REDUCE FRIZZ!
Regular conditioning treatments. 1-4 times a month. Give your hair the moisture and the nourishment it needs!
Use a ceramic round brush. This will smooth the hair.
Use products that are designed to fight frizzy hair and smooth your hair
Blow dry your hair before using a flat iron.
Use a flat iron to smooth down the cuticle.
Use a light moulding paste or hair wax to smooth down the small hairs at the top of your head.
Use smoothing products in the hair before you blow dry and after.
Use Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner.
Use a clarifying shampoo occasionally to remove buildup
Use a hot brush to straighten hair

Tip #2 Use a Ceramic Brush
Ceramic hairbrushes emit negative ions, which counteracts positive ions in hair, eliminating static electricity. This, in turn, eliminates flyaway and frizzes. Tip #4 Blow dry before you flat Iron
Blow drying helps to smooth out the cuticle.
If you skip the blowout stage your hair will not straighten properly.
You can do this by directing the air flow of the blow dryer down. This has to be done when the hair is wet.
Tip #5 Use a Flat Iron
Using a flat iron after your have finished blow drying your hair will smooth it out even further for longer lasting results.
Use small sections.
Use smoothing and anti-humidity products to seal the hair off.
Tip #6 Use a light Moulding Paste
or hair wax to smooth down the small hairs at the top of your head.

What this does is it weighs down the hair and helps the fly aways to lay flat and stay there.
Tip # 7 Use smoothing products
Using smoothing products before and after you blow dry will aid in laying the cuticle flat and keeping the hair smooth. The Tame Frizz . Fishing and sealing your hair. Use the oil before and after, use like a moroccan oil.
Don't use too much. My favourite product is the Anti Humidity Seal. creates a barrier that seals the humidity out and blocks the humidity.
